APSU Psychological Science & Counseling Clinic
The APSU Psychological Science & Counseling Clinic's goal is to provide quality behavioral health services to members of the local community while serving as a platform for the preparation of healthcare professionals. In order to meet the needs of the local community, we provide low-cost care in the form of counseling/psychotherapy and psychological assessment.
Services Provided:
- Counseling/psychotherapy for individuals, families, groups
- Evidence-based treatments for mood, trauma, anxiety, and others
- Psychological assessment for diagnostic clarification
- Evaluations for neurodevelopment (learning, ADHD, etc.)
- Vocational/career assessment

For scheduling appointments, please call us at 931-688-0964 and leave a voicemail. We check voicemails 1-2 times per week and aim to return calls within one week.
Please note: We do not provide walk-in services or crisis response.

Our clinic does not provide emergency, walk-in or crisis services.

Please Note: As a university-based training clinic we have certain limitations to services, specifically:
- We operate on the university semester schedule and we are closed during all university holidays and breaks.
- We have specific requirements and limitations for training our student clinicians,
which can sometimes mean that we may not be able to take on particular cases or types
of problems. All incoming clients are reviewed for services on a case-by-case basis
. Specific services we are unable to provide in any circumstances include:
- Court-ordered evaluations or treatment, including custody evaluations.
- Emergency Services: In case of an emergency, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room.
- Same day or walk-in services
- Letters for emotional support animals
The clinic is currently closed for Winter Break and not accepting new clients at this time.
