Overview

The Department of Languages and Literature offers a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Classics.  This program is designed to strengthen students’ abilities with Greek and Latin, to allow them to deepen their knowledge of the history and culture of the ancient Mediterranean, and to supplement or strengthen modern languages.  The program will be of interest to all those who desire to go on to graduate study in Classics but perhaps came to Classics late in their undergraduate career.  It is also designed to provide Latin teachers the opportunity to deepen their knowledge of the ancient Greco-Roman world.
