Current and future Govs, lock in your tuition NOW!

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. — Fall 2024 is just around the corner and classes are filling up. If you haven't already, contact your advisor and get registered ASAP! If you're a current student and get this done by May 31, 2024, you will lock in tuition, fees, and housing costs at this year's rate.

The guarantee is called the Govs Guarantee, and it works for future Govs too! If you are an incoming freshman, be sure to sign up by May 1, 2024. Interested students can visit www.apsu.edu/apply to learn more.

One more note for incoming freshmen:

Austin Peay guarantees admission and the $1,000 Governors Excellence Scholarship to any high school senior graduating with a 3.0 GPA.

The APSU Board of Trustees previously approved these resources in the Fall 2023 semester as part of an ongoing effort to create opportunities for students.

“This is an excellent opportunity [to support] high school seniors by keeping college affordable,” APSU President Mike Licari said. “We offer one of the best values in Tennessee for completing a bachelor’s degree. Our tuition and fees are among the lowest in the state, and our students graduate with less debt than the national average. Considering a college graduate’s first-year salary is more than $20,000 higher than high school graduates at the same age, our entire state wins by encouraging high school students to get a degree.”

While standardized test scores are not required for admission, submitting those scores along with higher GPAs could open the door for more significant scholarships.
