How do I apply for APSU scholarships?

Step 1

If you haven’t already, apply online for admission.

Step 2

Make a list of the APSU scholarships for which you would like to apply.

  • Explore Austin Peay scholarship choices by using the Scholarship Opportunities drop down link which is the fourth selection on the far left side of this page.
  • As you review scholarships, pay attention to requirements like GPA and ACT score. If you meet the requirements, add the scholarship to your list.
  • Some scholarships may require you to schedule an audition or submit a special scholarship application or portfolio. If so, note the deadlines and contact information.

Step 3

Complete and submit the scholarship application.

  • Submit your application using the Online Scholarship Application.
  • Be sure to answer all questions to the best of your ability. Your responses will determine which scholarships you may qualify for.

Step 4

If required, schedule auditions and/or submit additional applications, requirements, and/or portfolios.

  • Do not hesitate to call the department or person listed in the scholarship description to make sure your materials were received.

Step 5

As soon as possible, complete and submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online at FAFSA.ed.gov.

  • The Department of Education uses this form to figure out how much – and what kind of – financial aid you are eligible to receive.
  • Demonstration of financial need is a requirement for some scholarships. The information you provide on the FAFSA will tell us the extent of your financial need.

  • The FAFSA is also your application for the Tennessee Lottery Scholarship.

Step 6
