The Faculty Senate recognizes outstanding contributions from faculty and staff and supports meaningful faculty-student engagement through the programs below.
Everyday Excellence Award
The Everyday Excellence Award acknowledges faculty members who consistently demonstrate exceptional dedication, professionalism, and service to APSU.
Dr. Solie Fott Faculty Senate Leadership Award
Named in honor of Dr. Solie Fott, this award recognizes a sitting Faculty Senator who demonstrates outstanding leadership through subcommittee work, meaningful participation in Senate meetings, strong faculty representation, and a collaborative approach to solving faculty concerns.

Staff Service Award
Presented each April at the Faculty Senate meeting, this award honors a staff member who goes above and beyond to support their academic unit and the university. Nominations open in February.
Student Academic Success Initiative (SASI)
SASI is a Faculty Senate–administered grant program that has funded faculty-student engagement projects since 2008. Each spring, the Senate awards approximately $60,000 across 30–40 proposals that bring students and faculty together in academic and co-curricular experiences.
