Available Tech Tools & Resources

Patrons can use the following technology tools and/or resources available through the Furniture Connection Ed Tech Studio. 

Virtual Reality Headsets

• Headsets can be used to travel into local classrooms or experience educational software in an immersive environment. 

Virtual Reality 360° Camera

• VR cameras provide expanded opportunities for immersive educational experiences. VR cameras can provide 360° views, which help students feel like they are actually participating in a classroom field experience all from the comfort of the APSU campus. 

3D Printer

• 3D printers create three-dimensional objects using computer-aided design technology. Aspiring teachers can use this technology to assist with various subject areas, including geography (maps), history (historical site models) and mathematics (manipulatives). The tool can also be used to create classroom decorations, student awards and more. 

Lego Education (Spike Prime) Sets and Lego Table

• Did you know you can use Lego sets to advance your knowledge of coding and computer programming? The Lego Education (Spike Prime) sets and Lego table in the Ed Tech Studio come with lesson plans, specialty software and more to help build computer skills, critical thinking and other key competencies. 

Alienware Desktops

• These Alienware gaming desktops are powerful enough to run the myriad of educational software and technology available in the Ed Tech Studio. 

Online Teaching Station

• Our online teaching station offers pre-service teachers a comprehensive platform for refining their online teaching skills. This station is equipped with an adjustable desk to cater to varying preferences, an AI tracking camera that responds to gestures for seamless control, a high-performance Alienware desktop and cloud-based Vibe digital whiteboard.
