Major Field Test

Congratulations on your upcoming graduation!

The Criminal Justice Major Field Test, which is completed as part of the Senior Capstone course, is an online proctored exam consisting of 150 multiple-choice questions. Students are allowed 2.5 hours to complete the test. There is no cost, and your score is not factored into your GPA. The results are used by the department for comparative analysis purposes. At this time, no study materials are available.

Taking the Criminal Justice Major Field Test is a requirement for all graduating seniors. Diplomas may be withheld until the exam is completed. If you have circumstances that may prevent you from completing the exam by the deadline, please contact our office at 931-221-1480 or by email at criminaljustice@apsu.edu to discuss your options. 

For students who are not required to take the Senior Capstone Course emails will be sent to those who have applied for August 2026 graduation beginning at the end of May. Multiple testing dates will be offered throughout June and July 2026.

This exam must be completed no later than August 7th, 2026, for students graduating in August 2026.
