Major Field Test

Congratulations on your upcoming graduation!

The Criminal Justice Major Field Test consists of 150 multiple-choice questions. You are allowed 2.5 hours to complete the test; there is no cost to the student, and your score is not factored into your GPA. This test is used for comparative analysis purposes within the department. At this time, there is no study material available.

Taking the Criminal Justice Major Field Test is a requirement for all graduating seniors. Your diploma can be withheld until the exam is completed. If you have circumstances that would prevent you from completing the exam by the deadline, please get in touch with our office directly to discuss alternatives at 931-221-1480. Emails will be sent to all students who have applied for the Fall 2025 graduation starting in September. Multiple testing dates will be offered during the months of September, October, November, and December 2025.

This exam must be completed no later than December 5th, 2025, for those graduating in December 2025.
