Phased Approach and Timeline
This plan outlines six phases—from planning through notification—to prepare, submit, and communicate our Carnegie Classification application for community engagement.
Phase 1: Planning & Infrastructure (Nov 2025 – Jan 2026)
Focus: Establish structures and secure leadership commitment.

Phase 2: Self-Assessment (Jan 2026 – June 2026)

Conduct gap analysis and develop recommendations for enhancement.
Phase 3: Institutional Enhancement & Integration (July 2026 – June 2027)
Focus: Recommendation and Implementation

Implementation of recommendations to enhance community engagement integration.
Phase 4: Documentation & Classification Review (Jan 2027 – June 2027)
Focus: Compile evidence and narratives aligned with the Carnegie framework.

Gather examples and case studies from colleges and departments.

Verify data, outcomes, and partner feedback.
Phase 5: Classification Submission (June 2027 – April 2028)
Focus: Finalize and submit the application.

Complete the application draft and secure approvals.
