Other job responsibilities includes: overseeing main campus housing assignments, overseeing Residential Management System (RMS) management software, implementation of emergency housing bid; overflow housing/contract administration; coordinating athletic housing with coaches; overseeing housing department’s Great Change Day /Room Change Administration, overseeing correct execution of occupancy reports, and the processing of resident housing cancellations/withdrawals.

Cecil graduated from Austin Peay State University with a Bachelor’s of Business Administration and a Concentration in Accounting. After several years of work in the corporate accounting field, Cecil returned to Austin Peay in 2009 to serve as the Assistant Director of Housing Services. This wasn’t the first time he worked for APSU Housing. As a student, Cecil served for several years as a Resident Assistant (RA) in Rawlins Hall and Harvill Hall. Right before returning to Austin Peay in 2009, Cecil fulfilled a life-long dream of working and living in Samoa, a small Pacific island chain nation in the South Pacific Ocean. While there he learned a lot of the language and culture that makes Samoa so unique among the Pacific Islands. Coming from a military family, Cecil has lived in several different places including Hawaii and Germany. He loves to travel, especially internationally. A recent trip took him to Italy where he visited Rome, Venice, Pisa and Florence.

I graduated from Vanderbilt University with a Master’s Degree. I joined Austin Peay since December 2011 and work in the office of Housing/Residence Life & Dining Services.
I analyze and report results of housing Data. RMS maintenance and monitor daily to optimize data quality. Web development/maintenance of housing webpages. Weekly housing applications reports. Data manage on room assignments and meal plans. Marketing and recruitment efforts for all new students. Banner and Argos report writing and/or other reports needed from the Division of Student Affairs. Resolve any Housing’s technology related issues. Development of web forms/survey creation, and data collection assessment Information Technology representative for Student Affairs.
Area CoordinatorDr. Obi is an Area Coordinator in the Office of Housing/Residence Life & Dining Services. She came to APSU in 2003 after serving for two years as Hall Coordinator at the University of Iowa. She has also worked at University of Northern Illinois and Montana State University. Originally from Nigeria, she graduated from University of Northern Iowa with a B.A. degree in Administrative Management and an M. Ed degree in Business Education from Bowling Green State University, Ohio. She completed her Ph.D. degree in Higher Education Administration at Illinois State University. Before working in Residence Life, Dr. Obi served as a college faculty member (mostly in Nigeria) for seven years. Her hobbies include reading (favorite book is the Bible), listening to Christian music, cooking and playing scrabble. She has a daughter who is an Alumni of APSU and was a star athlete in High School and also at APSU.

Area CoordinatorI was raised in Carrier Mills, IL and graduated from Murray State University in Murray, KY where I received my Bachelor of Science in Chemistry/Pre-Med. While at MSU, I was heavily involved on campus. In 2001-2004, I was a Resident Assistant. As a Resident Assistant, I loved working with students, so my career plans changed from going to medical school to wanting to work in Student Affairs at the University level. Upon graduation, I became a Graduate Assistant Residence Hall Director at the University of Central Arkansas where I received my Master of Science in College Student Personnel Services and Administration. After graduate school, I worked at Southeast Missouri State University for 3 years as a Hall Director and now I am the Area Coordinator for Housing at APSU. I have been here since August of 2009 and have loved every minute being at Austin Peay. I work with the Residence Hall Association, as well as have many great staff members. Go Govs!

I am native of Cadiz, Kentucky; has served as Administrative Assistant 3 for the College of Business for 7 years and currently serving as Administrative Assistant 2 for Housing/Residence Life & Dining Services over 3 years for a total of over 10 years; serving in ministry for over 27 years; served as Church Evangelist 17 years; District Evangelist 5 years and Associate Pastor for 2 years; currently serving as a local Pastor for over 3 years. My responsibilities in the Housing consist of the following: Open and close judicial cases of housing residents, process contract releases, update and maintain central office manual.
Maintenance MechanicCliff attended Austin Peay State University from 1982 through 1984 where he majored in Art. He also attended Chattahoochee Technical College as a student and taught 3D Animation and Visual as an adjust professor. Cliff has competed in several animation competitions sponsored by D.E.C.A. Cliff served in the U.S. Army reserves for six year. Cliff enjoys reading, drawing and building computers for high-end digital graphics processing. With over fifteen years of experience in mechanical maintenance and repairing, we’re glad he is part of the Austin Peay Housing team.
