Oversees long range planning, goals, and objectives for entire office. Development and management of Housing budget, master plan, marketing plan, and departmental assessment plan. Facility management of Housing projects. AP Day/Summer Welcomes. Supervision of professional and support staff for office. Develop and oversee residential communities to create engaging learning environments. Development and implementation of dept crisis and risk management plan.
Supervisor of Residence Life staffing/programs/living learning communities. CHO in absence of Director. Direct Supervisor of the AC Staff. Hearing Officer for formal discipline. Coordinator of contract release and damage appeals process. AP Days/Summer Welcomes presentations. Manages the programming budget. Early arrival and late stay approval. Assistant Director of Housing Operations
Currently, I supervise one clerical staff and a Data Analyst. Other job responsibilities includes: overseeing main campus housing assignments, overseeing Residential Management System (RMS) management software, implementation of emergency housing bid; overflow housing/contract administration; coordinating athletic housing with coaches; overseeing housing department’s Great Change Day /Room Change Administration, overseeing correct execution of occupancy reports, and the processing of resident housing cancellations/withdrawals.

Budget preparation and financial analysis and reporting. Contract preparation. Management of dining investment funds. Survey Creation and Data Collection (QLS and Dining). Dining renovations. Supervision of dining mechanic.
Management of guest apartments. RHD Supervision (documentation, employee discipline). Assignments/Billing for Emerald Hill apartments. Create/revise notes for living – Emerald Hill/Marion Street. Student Staff selection and payroll (HR paperwork, loading of scholarships) RHD’s and RA’s. 24 hour on call rotation. Teach RA class. Informal discipline hearing/files. Hiring/Supervision of Emerald Hill office workers. Assist in staff training.
Michael FreemanArea Coordinator

He came to APSU in 2014 after serving for ten years as a Hall Director at the University of Tennessee at Martin. He graduated from Berea College with a B.A. degree in Psychology. Michael was also a Resident Assistant (R.A.) for four years at Berea College. Michael is from Clarksville, TN and graduated from Kenwood High School before attending Berea College.

Sarah ClarkFunctional Support Specialist

Reports to the Assistant Director of Housing Operations and is the main liaison between Housing/Residence Life and Dining Services and Information Technology. Works on Interfaces for Housing/Residence Life and Dining Services and/or other student affairs departments and Residential Management Software (RMS) and Banner processes and serves as the primary contact for RMS/Banner Housing issues. Prepares most internal and external reports for the department.
Administrative Assistant III, CAP
I assist the AVP/Director of Housing with marketing plans, All State ads, AP Day, GOV's ROW, presentations, purchasing management, Residency Exemption coordinator, personnel leave management. I also do special projects for the AVP/Director of Housing.

I married an army soilder stationed at Ft. Campbell Kentrucky Military Base in 2006 where we set up residence in Clarksville, Tennessee.
Greet visitors, receptionist, residents swipe card and loaner key security inventory, judicial appointments, letters, files, contract release correspondence, process student biling, assist with scheldule of student employees, work orders and re-core requests, correspondence, meeting room reservations for 109 and 111.
Trouble-shoot and repair Dining Services equipment. Perform regularly scheduled preventative maintenance and inspections. Serve as point of contact for all Dining Services contracted work. Install and maintain new equipment. Test and operate all equipment. Maintain exhaust fans and vents for Dining Services. Maintain Dining Services plumping lines. Maintain Dining Services equipment inventory. Determine any need for replacing old equipment.
