Bachelor of Science in Nursing- South College
Master of Science in Nursing (Family Nurse Practitioner)- South College
In 2017, I started my medical career as a perioperative technician at Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) while in a certified nurse assistant (CNA) program. After finishing the CNA program, I started in the float pool at VUMC where I was able to experience different types of nursing. After a year, I decided it was my time to go back to school to become a nurse. In 2019, I graduated with my Bachelor of Nursing at South College accelerated program. I quickly moved into the role of a nurse in 2020 right before COVID-19 pandemic started. I started as a Geriatric nurse at VUMC and worked at Davidson County Sheriff’s Department as a PRN correctional nurse. Though it was a difficult time, we (nurses) pushed through and did our best to adapt and protect our patients.
I made a commitment in one year I would go back to South College to get my Master of Nursing (MSN) degree. In 2022, I graduated from South College with my MSN in Family Nurse Practitioner.
