volunteering in Clarksville and the surrounding communities.
Whether you're a first-year student looking to connect with campus before classes
begin or a faculty or staff member ready to work alongside your colleagues, this is
your day to make a real difference.

What We Accomplished in 2025
In our third annual Day of Service, the Austin Peay family showed up in a big way.
Together, we reached further into the community than ever before — and year four is
right around the corner.

What's Our Purpose?
Fostering Engagement
The event stimulates active engagement among the Austin Peay community – students,
faculty and staff – outside the traditional academic environment. It provides a platform
to interact, collaborate and build relationships in a service-oriented setting.
Community Service
The event encourages the Austin Peay community to give back to Clarksville. This is
realized by volunteering with various organizations and participating in service activities.
The act of service benefits the wider community and enriches the experiences of those
who participate.
Building Relationships
The event builds stronger, more meaningful connections among members of the Austin Peay
community by creating opportunities for participants to work together in service activities.
Realizing APSU’s Strategic Vision
The Day of Service supports Austin Peay’s strategic vision of enhancing student success
and academic excellence by providing experiential learning opportunities, promoting civic responsibility,
and cultivating an environment of collaboration and mutual support.
Supporting Clarksville
The Austin Peay community contributes to Clarksville’s social, economic and cultural development through active participation in various service activities. This reflects APSU’s commitment to be an active, contributing member of the local
