CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Austin Peay State University has received a gift from Sharon A. Dunn, a 1973 graduate of the College of Business, to establish the KY Tri-County College of Business Scholarship Endowment for students.

The endowment will provide scholarship support to full-time College of Business students who maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.25. First preference will be given to students from the Tri-County area of Kentucky—Todd, Christian, and Trigg counties—with second preference for students from Montgomery County, Tennessee. The scholarship is renewable as long as recipients continue to meet the criteria, with awards beginning in Fall 2026.

"Austin Peay gave me the foundation for a successful career, and I want to help students from my region have that same opportunity," Dunn said. "Business education opens doors, and I hope this scholarship will ease the financial burden for deserving students who are working hard to build their futures."

Kris Phillips, APSU’s vice president for Alumni, Engagement & Philanthropy, emphasized the lasting impact alumni like Dunn create through endowed scholarships.

"Sharon's generosity will benefit College of Business students in perpetuity," Phillips said. "Endowments like this reflect the power of APSU alumni to transform lives. We are grateful for Sharon's commitment to investing in the next generation of business leaders, particularly those from the Tri-County region she calls home."
