CLARKSVILLE, TN. - Affinity Licensing is now the exclusive trademark licensing agency for Austin Peay State University. The partnership, which began Oct. 1, grants Affinity the right to manage the day-to-day aspects of the licensing program for apparel and other products and to represent the University with manufacturers and retailers to enhance branding and merchandising opportunities.

“Affinity Licensing brings great knowledge and vision that will help Austin Peay State University expand its regional brand presence,” said Bill Persinger, executive director of the APSU Office of Public Relations and Marketing. “We’ve greatly improved our brand over the last several years and, with the help of the Affinity team, we will develop a strategy to rapidly move our brand forward.”

As part of this partnership, Affinity and APSU will review current brand licensing policies and develop strategies to ensure long-term value of the Austin Peay brand. With a record enrollment in 2018-19, APSU is one of the state’s fastest-growing public universities in Tennessee.

“The Austin Peay brand is vibrant; with great community support from Clarksville, Fort Campbell and the surrounding areas,” Wil Spires, partner of Affinity Licensing, said. “We are very excited to partner with the talented administrators at APSU to drive brand growth and revenue through its licensing efforts.”
