(October, 2019) CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Austin Peay State University is now offering one-credit hour community courses for free this October thanks in part to the Austin Peay State University Foundation’s general scholarship fund. The foundation is funding up to 60 participants in the courses.

“Through the efforts of the Foundation, we’re able to offer these classes to our community at no cost to them,” Dr. Chad Brooks, APSU associate provost of research and dean of the College of Graduate Studies, said

The classes, which begin Oct. 23 during Austin Peay's Fall II term, include:

Participants who complete a course will receive one hour of college credit, which can be applied later to several degree programs at Austin Peay.

“These community courses are a great way to leverage APSU’s gift of education back to our community so that people of all walks of life can enjoy a college-level class and gain some new skill sets too,” Brooks said earlier this month.

Registration is now open for these free community classes. For information, visit www.apsu.edu/october or contact Benjamin Drummond at 931-221-1457 or drummondb@apsu.edu.
