APSU Dining Services rebrands two restaurants on campus
(Posted May 16, 2019)
CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – On Monday morning, May 13, Austin Peay State University’s Dining Services introduced two new restaurant concepts to the Morgan University Center’s food court. During a brief ceremony, Grill Nation and Zona Mexicana were rebranded “Burger 931” and “Tu Taco” respectively.
Casey Leffel, marketing manager for Austin Peay’s Dining Services, facilitated the ribbon cutting, while Dr. Eric Norman, vice president of student affairs, cut the ribbon.
Grill Nation was a burger affiliate of Austin Peay known for a wide selection of burger combinations. Zona Mexicana catered a wide range of made-to-order Mexican foods.
The new restaurants will carry similar cuisines under different branding.
Reminiscent of the 1950s, Burger 931 endeavors to rekindle the classic American dining experience. Burger 931 promises “single, double or triple all-beef patties with your choice of fresh toppings on a toasted bun.”

Tu Taco creates a west coast edge with a California taco truck aesthetic. It promises an “authentic look and feel of a food truck taqueria,” combining the use of “traditional taco ingredients to create authentic taco recipes that make the perfect lunch combo!”
“Everyone wants something new,” Leffel said. “Those previous concepts were at least eight years old. It’s time for a change.”
