Happening today: Womxn's Empowerment Week begins
(Posted March 1, 2021)

The first-ever Womxn’s Empowerment Week at Austin Peay State University will be filled with events for students and employees.
Each day will feature in-person and Zoom programs, such as a local, women-owned business vendor fair, along with various speakers.
Today’s theme is “feminism,” and two events are scheduled.
The Womxn’s Empowerment Week Kick-Off is at 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at Morgan University Center (MUC) colonnade tables.
Austin Peay students and employees can pick up some sweet treats, get a free T-shirt, take some selfies and find out about other events happening during the week.
Visit the Peaylink event listing for more information about the kick-off.
The “Breaking Down the Stigma Around Feminism” panel discussion will be at 3 p.m. Panelists will be Drs. Nicole Knickmeyer and Jonniann Butterfield.
Watch parties will be in MUC Rooms 115 and 112. Click here to attend the Zoom seminar.
