Happening today: Homecoming Week continues with GovTrails Meet-up

Austin Peay’s Homecoming Week is a bit different this year. The COVID-19 pandemic forced homecoming from last fall to this spring. The festivities continue today with the comedy show at 7 p.m. at the Foy Fitness and Recreation Center and finish up when the football team hosts Tennessee Martin at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 21. Here’s this week’s remaining schedule: Tuesday • 7 p.m.: Comedy Show at the Foy Fitness and Recreation Center. Wednesday • 12:30 p.m.: GovTrails Meet-up at “The Sentinel." Thursday • 7 p.m.: 15th Annual Govs Got Talent at the Foy Fitness and Recreation Center. Friday • 7 p.m.: 10th Annual (COVID-style) Smash! Bang! Lip Sync Contest (virtual). Saturday • 4 p.m.: 7th Annual Gov Run at the Intramural Fields. Sunday • 10 a.m.: 75th Annual Homecoming Parade along College, Drane and Marion streets. • 2 p.m.: Govs host Tennessee Martin at Fortera Stadium. The festivities continue today with a GovTrails Meet-up at 12:30 p.m. at “The Sentinel” and finish up when the football team hosts Tennessee Martin at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 21.
