Annual Year End Staff Awards

The Staff Service and Excellence Awards recognize APSU employees who embody the university's values through years of dedicated service and outstanding contributions to the campus community. Presented annually at the Year End Staff Awards ceremony, the program is a joint collaboration between the Office of Human Resources and Staff Senate.

Presidential Leading through Excellence Award

This award recognizes full-time administrative/professional staff members who report directly to members of the Senior Leadership Team. Nominations are reviewed by the Staff Senate Awards Committee, and the top three finalists are submitted to the President — resulting in recognition of one employee.

Nominees must demonstrate excellence in areas such as leadership, collaboration, commitment, and/or innovation as outlined in the award criteria below and as they relate to APSU's Strategic Plan.

Governors Excellence Award

This award recognizes staff members who demonstrate excellence in collaboration, commitment, and/or innovation in support of APSU's mission as outlined in the award criteria below. Senior leadership will recognize recipients from several areas of the university, including Academic Affairs, Finance and Administration, Student Affairs, Legal Affairs & Organizational Strategy, Alumni Engagement & Philanthropy, Military and Veterans Affairs, and Athletics/Other.

Staff members eligible for the Presidential Leading through Excellence Award are not eligible for this award.
