Before transitioning fully into higher education, I accumulated 17 years of experience in public school teaching and leadership. My roles included special education teacher, chairperson, and positive behavior specialist, along with curating professional development content for special education. I am passionate about teaching individuals how to advocate for and provide equitable services and practices to all students, regardless of their diverse needs or disabilities.

My research interests center on equity in education, with a particular focus on special education. Specifically, I am passionate about exploring behavioral interventions, cultural competency, and teacher development.
