Dr. Kallina Dunkle is a Professor of Geology in the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences.   Her areas of expertise in the broad field of geology are in hydrogeology, environmental geology, and glacial geology. She also researches in geoscience pedagogy, and enjoys thinking and learning about how we learn and applying that to help students grow in their knowledge and skills.  She teaches a variety of courses with topics including water quality, groundwater movement, environmental issues, and glaciers.  Dr. Dunkle regularly advises undergraduate research projects, which are typically local and deal with water contamination, flooding, sinkholes or other issues related to the Clarksville area geology.  She has been involved with professional societies, especially the Hydrogeology Division of the Geological Society of America where she has served in a variety of roles including Secretary-Treasurer and First Vice-Chair.
