VA Work Study Program

Individuals eligible for participation in the VA work study program are paid an hourly wage for work completed in authorized VA-related activities.

The applicant must

  • receive VA education benefits as authorized under Title 38 or Title 10
  • attend school and be certified to VA at a rate of pursuit of 3/4 time or more for the terms you are working
  • complete the VA form 20-8691 (application for work-study allowance)
  • be selected for the program by one of the VA approved work sites
  • additional VA forms and documents may be required

  • VA hospitals and medical centers
  • VA outpatient clinics
  • VA cemeteries
  • Veterans' Centers
  • APSU Office of Veterans Affairs - main campus and Ft Campbell Center
  • Tennessee Employment Offices
  • Ft Campbell Army Career and Alumni Program (ACAP) Office

To apply within the APSU Office of Veterans Affairs

  • If a position at the APSU Office of Veterans Affairs becomes vacant, then an announcement is sent to students via the APSU Live Mail.  Detailed instructions and forms will be provided in the email notification.  Qualifications that we seek include, but are not limited to, computer literacy, organizational skills, familiarity with the University and programs, and pleasant attitude.
