Educational Opportunity Center

Welcome to the Educational Opportunity Center

The Educational Opportunity Center or EOC is a grant based program which provides counseling, admission and financial aid assistance to potential first-generation and low income adults who are interested in enrolling or returning to a post-secondary institution.

Staff members of the Educational Opportunity Center work in conjunction with a variety of public and private organizations, such as human service agencies, schools, churches, industries, and civic groups to identify and serve eligible individuals who are interested in pursuing education or training programs beyond the high school level.

The Educational Opportunity Center, which is a division of the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs at Austin Peay State University, is sponsored as a free community service. The EOC is funded by the U.S. Department of Education in the amount of $462,541.00 for 2023-2024 Fiscal Year.

Main Office and Outreach Centers

The Educational Opportunity Center's main office is located in the Ellington Building on Drane Street on Austin Peay State University's main campus. In order to better serve eligible participants who live outside of the Clarksville/Fort Campbell communities, we also maintain Outreach Centers within our target areas of Montgomery, Houston and Stewart Counties in Tennessee, and Christian County in Kentucky.
