Know when to get involved

It’s hard to resist the urge to get involved when your child encounters an obstacle or issue; however, it’s extremely important to allow him or her to address problems as an independent adult. If the situation doesn’t demand your involvement, simply offer advice and allow your student to take the necessary action.
