Each spring and fall term, VUB offers a variety of seminars that advance veterans' computer literacy and study skills. Veterans can take these seminars in addition to their academic studies. If you are not a VUB student, become one soon to take advantage of these seminars.

The seminars for the Spring Term, 2014 will be taught at the APSU main campus learning center on the following schedule:
Tuesday, March 4: Goal setting and Time Management
Starts 9:30 a.m. Set goals for college and your
career. Also create study schedules that help
you meet deadlines for tests and papers.
Tuesday, March 18: Improving Reading Skills
Starts 9:30 a.m. Discover new methods to double your reading
speed and improve comprehension.
Tuesday, April 1: Listening and Note Taking
Starts 9:30 a.m. Improve listening skills and learn to take
notes effectively in class.
Tuesday, March 25: Internet Research Skills
Starts 9:30 a.m. Take a tour of the APSU library.

APSU Library on the Internet and the online library
Room 209 for papers you must write. If professors
tell you to “use MLA (or APA) style,” find
out where to look for help.
Tuesday, April 8: Test Taking and Online Learning
Starts 9:30 a.m. Improve your test taking skills.
Find out how to be effective in online classes
and how to use the APSU Desire2Learn (D2L) system.
