SEJC Travel Application

Applications for the 2019 Southeast Journalism Conference are currently being accepted. The event will be held in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, at MTSU. The College of Media and Entertainment, of which the School of Journalism and Strategic Media is a part, is home to the Center for Innovation in Media, bringing together the University’s two campus radio stations, WMOT and WMTS, the school newspaper, Sidelines, and MT10, the student-run cable channel.

The Southeast Journalism Conference is a vibrant learning community of collegiate journalists in a variety of media disciplines honing their craft through professional development and the Best of the South Collegiate Journalism Competition.

SEJC is a primarily academic organization composed of more than 45 member colleges and universities in all states across the Southeast, including Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi and Tennessee.

SEJC was created to encourage greater interest in student journalism and to form closer ties among journalism schools in the Southeast United States.


There are a total of six spots for students.
