Latino Advisory Council of Resource Advocates

Mission:
As the LCRC continues to look for ways to serve the Latino population and educate the campus community on the culture and issues surrounding the population, the center and the advisory council are looking to collaborate with campus partners on new initiatives.  Through these partnerships, the LCRC's and the advisory council’s goal is to focus on the quality of services and remove barriers with the urgency our students deserve.  The center and the advisory council believe this is key to accomplishing these goals.

History:
The Hispanic Cultural Center Advisory Committee was initially put in place to assist the HCC in its early stages with the development of its structure, programs, and events.  Now that the HCC is established as the LCRC and has been under the direction of a full-time professional staff for the past ten years, the committee’s focus has changed.  Now the LCRC needs the committee to evolve and address the challenges the Latino faces on campus and in an ever-changing society.
