Awards for Organizations

  Student_Org_of_the_Year_Award_2013-14.pdf Sponsored by the Student Organization Council (SOC) and the Office of Student Life and Engagement (SLE) this award recognizes a student organization for overall efforts to contribute to the University community.  The Student Organization of the Year is considered a role model for other organizations on the campus.  Presented at the annual Student Organization and Leader Awards ceremony in April, programs occurring in the 2013-2014 academic year.

2013 – 2014 Wyatt Award

The Wyatt Award is named after Fessey Wyatt Hackney and the late John Wyatt and is sponsored by the National Alumni Association and the Office of Student Life and Engagement.

Established by the APSU National Alumni Association in honor of the enthusiastic contributions and dedicated volunteerism of Fessey Wyatt Hackney and the late John Wyatt, this perpetual award is presented annually to the APSU student organization who exemplifies the most school spirit throughout the 2013-2014 academic year.

The winner of this prestigious award will be presented with the “Wyatt Award” (to be passed along each year to the winning organization) along with a cash award of $500 to your organization’s fund.

October 18th soccer game vs. Morehead State                                  10 points

November 1st volleyball game vs. Belmont                                        10 points

November 16th football game vs. SEMO                                            10 points

December 4th men’s basketball game vs. ETSU                                 10 points

January 25th women’s basketball game vs. Tennessee Tech               10 points

March 22nd  softball game vs. Belmont (2:00 p.m. game)                   10 points

March 28th baseball game vs. Murray State                                       10 points

Participation at University events (25% of your members must attend to receive points):

Dance Marathon (full event), October 4th                                          10 points

Homecoming parade, October 26th                                                 10 points
