Welcome to APSU! We're so excited you have decided to be a GOV. We know that it can be a transition transferring to a new institution. That is why Austin Peay has a center dedicated to helping transfer students through the TRANSFERmation process. Below you will find some opportunities created for transfer students!

Check out our TRANSFERmation Guide for the 2020-2021 academic year!

As a transfer student it can be a struggle not only learning about where things are on campus or who they operate, but also understanding where some traditions originated. To help, center staff hosts Tradition Tours by appointment! If you'd like a Traditions Tour, email us at antsc@apsu.edu

Each fall the ANTS Center hosts a trip only for transfer students. Newly transferred (Spring/Summer/Fall of that year) students are eligible to attend a unique trip aimed at helping students connect with other student, staff, and resources on campus.

AP on the AT allows a group of transfer students to spend several days exploring the Appalachian Trail near the Nantahala Outdoor Center. This hike is a moderate-ability level and will end with a peak experience selected by participants; for example, white-water rafting, ropes course, climbing, etc. For more information and to sign up for the trip, visit the university's official extended orientation page at this page.

Slice of AP logoLearn about Austin Peay & the community at our transfer program series: Slice of Austin Peay. During this pizza lunch speakers will share about different opportunities available to you! Fall 2021 we will be hosting this virtually! Check our schedule for more details!

Tau Sigma is an academic honor society designed specifically to "recognize and promote the academic excellence and involvement of transfer students." Transfer students who have completed one year worth of college credit and obtain a semester GPA of a 3.5 or above their first semester at APSU will be invited to join. Members receive a graduation cord. This is an active student organization on campus that hosts service projects, social events, and attend an annual leadership conference.

At the beginning of each semester, we host a Transfer Meet & Greet. Play games, enjoy snacks, and meet other transfer students!
