CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – At 6 p.m. on April 13, the Austin Peay State University Nontraditional Student Society (NTSS) will host its second annual Governors Ball in the Morgan University Center Ballroom. The formal event will feature a dinner, served at 6:30 p.m., and dancing until 11 p.m. Tickets are $30 a person or $50 a couple, with proceeds benefiting the society.
A sizeable portion of the APSU population – more than 40 percent – is made up of nontraditional students. These individuals include single mothers, active duty military and veterans and just about anyone who didn’t enroll in college immediately after high school. In 2011, several of these students formed the NTSS.
The organization hosts monthly meetings and events for the families of students. APSU also provides an Adult and Nontraditional Student Center in Morgan University Center Room 112. For more information on the NTSS, visit their facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/APSUNTSS.
