In response to a “Local Angle” sent out by the Office of Public Relations, Dr. Nanci Woods was interviewed by WJZM's Diane Welker of “Women on Weekdays” last Thursday. The topic: how parents can minimize the impact of divorce on their children.
Woods also discussed Austin Peay's upcoming course, “Parents, Children and Divorce,” a seminar designed to meet Tennessee's newly mandated education process for divorcing parents.
In response to that same “Local Angle,” Woods did a phone interview with a Nashville radio station and an interview with "The Leaf Chronicle” for an upcoming article on independence and children. The questions ranged from how does a parent foster independence to how much independence should a child have.
All Austin Peay faculty are encouraged to notify Ken West of the Office of Public Relations of their areas of expertise for use in upcoming issues of “Local Angle,” which have proven to be successful in generating positive press for both the faculty member and the University.
