Enrollment and FTE up for spring semester

Austin Peay's main-campus enrollment rose by 5.4 percent, according to a report issued by the Registrar's Office. Full-time equivalency (FTE) for main campus rose by 7 percent. As of Jan. 24, the 14th day of classes, 5,165 students were enrolled on main campus, up from 4,906 in 2001. FTE was up from 4,204 to 4,499. New transfers and sophomores accounted for a good portion of the increases, jumping by 13.5 and 11.1 percent, respectively. Freshman enrollment was up 9.1 percent. Overall headcount and FTE, including Fort Campbell data, will be announced by Feb. 8.
