Human Anatomy & Physiology Dual Enrollment

Fall Semester 2014 - BIOL 2010/2011
Clarksville Montgomery County School System Cohort

Are you currently a sophomore or junior attending a CMCSS high school? Highly motivated and looking ahead to a career in the medical field, health/human performance or allied health?

APSU will offer the Human Anatomy & Physiology class as a dual enrollment cohort in the fall semester of 2014, with Dr. Cooper Beazley as instructor.  Please review the following information regarding this very unique opportunity for CMCSS students. The course is rigorous and demanding as explained by Dr. Beazley in this video. Students must be fully committed to full attendance and participation in the course and must have completed their high school biology and chemistry requirements. The class will meet at the Greenwood Center on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, 6 - 8 a.m. Labs will will be held on some Friday evenings and Saturdays as scheduled by Dr. Beazley.

CMCSS applications are due to your school counselor January 10.  Selections will be made no later than March 1, 2013. Students will be notifed at that time if they are part of the cohort of 10-15 students (or if they are on a waiting list).

Four hours of APSU college credit will be earned upon successful completion of this Anatomy & Physiology course. How these credit hours transfer will depend on the institution which you plan to attend. At Austin Peay, BIOL 2010/2011 will count toward:

  • The natural science core requirement
  • BSN (Nursing)
  • BS, Health & Human Performance
  • Radiologic Tech
  • Medical Tech

  • Pay attention to all deadlines; submit items early and avoid unnecessary stress!
  • Check your email regularly - it is our primary means of communicating with you.
  • General dual enrollment meetings are being held local high schools in January and February. We will discuss the application process for all prospective students and answer any questions.
