APSU is proud to partner with the Nashville Teacher Residency (NTR) by offering NTR graduates credit hours towards one of three graduate degree programs.  NTR is a one-year, state-approved Education Preparation Provider that trains diverse cohorts of teachers in Nashville and Clarksville.  Residents are paired with an exceptional mentor teacher and work full-time in one of NTR's eleven partner schools, while taking hands-on, practice driven courses two nights a week.  At the end their residency year, graduates can continue their professional development at APSU by taking classes that integrate their work as classroom teachers and build upon their study during their time in NTR.
