Testing Requirements

Licensure guidelines require students to be tested at two separate times during their academic careers.  Core Academic Skills for Educators (CASE) Tests are required for admission into the teacher education program and must be completed prior to Transition Point 2.  Praxis II is required to complete licensure and must be completed before the completion of Transition Point 3. You can schedule to take the computer-based version of these tests at Prometric, (931) 647-2003, which is located at 220 Forbes Ave, Clarksville, TN 37040.

*An undergraduate student may substitute a combined ACT of 21, or a combined SAT of 1020. Graduate students may substitute GRE scores for Core Academic Skills for Educators (CASE) Tests.

The test must be less than five years old and verification of the score must be presented to the Certification Office.
