The APSU Diversity Committee supports training opportunities for faculty, staff, and students to promote an inclusive environment at Austin Peay.
Safe Zone Training
The Safe Zone Training Program is an opportunity for faculty and staff to learn how to effectively be an ally and support system for students who identify as LGBTQ. The program is an intensive 90-minute safe zone training program that will help you be an advocate, collaborator, and educator. This training is voluntary and is offered upon request. Contact Stephen Dominy, firstname.lastname@example.org, with the following information: Name, email address, phone number, employee type (faculty/staff), date of training you plan to attend, a short statement of why you are interested in the training and a short statement of what you hope to get from the training.
