Ken Cervelli joined the Department of Languages and Literature in the fall of 2007.
He received his PhD in English in 2004 from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale.
He received his undergraduate education in western Canada (Calgary, Alberta) before
moving back and forth (twice) between Canada and the United States to complete his
graduate education. His dissertation was published by Routledge Press in 2007 (paperback
edition, 2012) as part of the Studies in Major Literary Authors series. He teaches
Romantic-period literature, especially poetry, but he is interested in many forms
and periods of literature. He teaches courses in the core (primarily English 1020
and English 2330) as well as upper-division courses in British literature. He has
also taught for the Honors program.
