Eta Sigma Phi, The National Classics Honors Society

Eta Sigma Phi is a nationwide organization of undergraduate Classics majors who do outstanding work.  To be eligible for membership, students must obtain a B or better in a Greek or Latin language course, and then must maintain a 3.0 average.  Austin Peay’s chapter is Eta Omega.  We are active in a number of campus wide activities such as GHOST Night, an alternative trick or treat night for local children, Homecoming events, game nights, and trivia nights.  Our chapter hosts an annual Classics Day for secondary school students, and we do service projects every year as well.  We have hosted the State Convention of the Tennessee Junior Classical League in 2007, 2017, and 2018, and look forward to doing so again in the future.
