Career Fair Preparation Resources
Are you planning to attend a career fair this semester? Here a few ways that you can prepare ahead of time by completing the following steps:
2. Complete the Career Fair Checklist.
3. Review "30 Second Commercial" for adequate introduction preparation.
4. To select your Business Professional or Business Casual attire, please visit the
Student Professional Dress Code.
The Office of Career Services requires all students and graduates participating in On-Campus Interviews or scheduled RSVP events to show up. When you fail to cancel your interview in a timely manner or don't show for events, it reflects poorly on you, on Career Services and the University. Not only is this unprofessional behavior and an inconvenience to the employer, but another student or graduate has been deprived of a valuable opportunity. Such unprofessional behavior may also have serious implications beyond your interview, as employers may choose to remove Austin Peay State University from their recruitment schedule if the students and graduates that commit to interviews routinely fail to keep their interview appointment. For this reason, Career Services has a stringent No-Show Policy. Please read the policy thoroughly in order to avoid losing your Jobs4Govs privileges. - Full No Show Policy
