Military-Affiliated Business Students
- Newton Military Family Resource Center (NMFRC):
- The Center offers a computer lab with online access, a printer, and CAC readers, a lounge, and a dining area. Additionally, the Center offers events, programs, and student/peer coaching to veterans, active-duty personnel, reservist, national guardsmen, retirees, ROTC students, and family members who attend the University. Military affiliation is not required.

- Texts for Vets:
- The Texts-For-Vets program was established by the NMFRC to help APSU students overcome the financial burden of purchasing textbooks. Textbooks are available only because of donations made by APSU students, faculty, staff, and community members alike. Textbooks are offered free of charge and on a first-come-first-served basis. It is asked that resources loaned out are treated well and returned to the Woodward Library on the due date.

However, if you do not see the book you need listed, you can still complete an application. Although there is no guarantee the book you need would become available, you would be on the list should the book become available by the time you need it.
- Office of Veterans Education Benefits
- This office can assist you with questions regarding your GI Bill/VA benefits. They can also assist with questions regarding Tuition Assistance and Army IgnitEd (no service obligation).

Up to six credit hours of relevant and approved military credit displayed on your
Joint Services Transcript (JST) can be reviewed to count toward your graduate program.
Please have your official JST sent to the university (with your program application)
and also email a copy to cob@apsu.edu requesting review as soon after you are admitted
to the program as possible. You can access your JST here: https://jst.doded.mil/jst/login?returnTo=%2Fhome. You are welcome to email cob@apsu.edu with a copy of your JST requesting review
before you apply to the program.

- APSU offers Graduate Assistantship (GA) positions to allow students to earn experience and financial benefits (tuition coverage and a stipend) while pursuing their graduate program. - Students have the option to apply for student loans to aid in any expenses not covered by benefits. The Office of Financial Aid can help guide you through your options. They are located in the Ellington Building room 216 and can be reached via email at sfao@apsu.edu , or phone at (931) 221-7907.

If you are called to duty, we will work with you. Modifications such as awarding an
Incomplete grade (for up to one calendar year) to allow additional time will be an
option. Be sure to reach out to your professor(s) and advisor as soon as you become
aware of your upcoming military obligation. Your professor(s) will need a letter from
your Commander emailed to them for documentation purposes.
- Many MSM courses are reading/writing heavy.
- Some courses entail computer-proctored exams.
- You must have strong self-discipline to complete an online graduate program.
- Completion of this program does not require a thesis or comprehensive exams.
- Contact your advisor and professor(s) with any questions or concerns as soon as they arise.
