The College’s Free Enterprise Center for Financial Analysts and Planners (FECFAP) will help our students add the experiential component to their education. Working in groups and using customized financial programs under faculty supervision will train the recommended individuals in the areas of financial investments and portfolios.
Students will evaluate current and historical financial data and identify economic/business trends. They will also examine a firm’s financial statements and analyze commodity prices, sales, costs, expenses, and tax rates to determine the firm’s value by projecting the company’s future earnings.
Additionally, students will meet with various company officials to gain better insight into the company’s prospects and management. These meetings will help students to create written reports and present their findings in case competitions. Ultimately, the students will meet with firm officials and potential investors to explain their recommendations.
