Thank you for your interest in the Academic Support Center. The Academic Support Center exists for one reason, to help students achieve their educational goals. We hope that as you work with our staff, you will find each of us is committed to the success of the students here at Austin Peay State University. Additionally, we are proud to help students in the community strive to reach their educational goals through our Community Tutoring program.
Austin Peay Students
The following services are available to APSU students.
We provide FREE group support for undergraduate courses for APSU students. Tutoring is available for most core courses and some upper-division courses. To schedule sessions with a peer tutor, please stop by the Marks building room 124 (Find Us) or call (931) 221-6550.
Originally designed to allow students to earn core college credit while removing academic deficiencies, SLA is now available for additional college courses to help students excel.
The Academic Support Center has partnered with Distant Education to provide online tutoring through Tutor.com. This service provides 24/7 support for many undergraduate courses. Students may access Tutor.com by clicking on the "Resources" tab in D2L.
Tutor.com does not provide writing support. Online writing support is provided through the Writing Center.
The following services are available to APSU Students and the Clarksville Community for a minimal fee.
We provide tutoring to the community for a reasonable fee. To schedule sessions with a community tutor, please click on the link provided to learn more about the tutors available, then click on their names to find times that meet your needs.
The Academic Support Center also offers APSU students and Community members test prep Workshops for the GRE, TEAS, PRAXIS Core, and more. Click on the workshops link to see the available workshops and to register for workshops.
The Academic Support Center is proud to work with the Veterans Upward Bound program to provide Veterans with tutoring to help them prepare for college admissions testing and provide skill enhancement opportunities in Reading, Writing, and Math.
