Report finds no inappropriate expenditures by TBR campus presidents

September 23, 2003

Expenditures by the 19 presidents of TBR schools were "reasonable and not excessive" last year, according to an internal audit requested by Chancellor Charles Manning.

However the board will look closely at reimbursements for presidents' meals with staff members, use of private charter planes, use of perks such as free tickets and documentation for awarding of noncompetitive contracts and other expenditures.

The audit's findings will be discussed this week at the Regents quarterly meeting.
