Reception, scholarship in the works for Dr. Al Williams; plan to attend

A longtime APSU professor of education will continue to leave his mark on future generations of students through a scholarship account.

Friends and colleagues of Dr. Al Williams, professor of education, are invited to attend a retirement reception in his honor at 5 p.m., Thursday, Oct.13, in the University Center Ballroom.
A longtime APSU professor of education will continue to leave his mark on future generations of students through a scholarship account.

Friends and colleagues of Dr. Al Williams, professor of education, are invited to attend a retirement reception in his honor at 5 p.m., Thursday, Oct.13, in the University Center Ballroom.

Williams retired in May 2005, after teaching almost 40 years at APSU. In addition to faculty responsibilities, he has been active in many community and civic organizations, including Special Olympics, Rotary International, Boy Scouts of America and Big Brothers-Big Sisters.

In recognition of Williams' commitment to education, a scholarship is being established in his name. For those who want to honor Williams, donations can be made at the reception or mail them to The Dr. Allan Williams Scholarship Account, APSU University Advancement Office, P.O. Box 4417, Clarksville, TN 37044.
