Dr. Stuart Bonnington, professor of psychology, will play banjo with the Holt Brothers Band on Wednesday, Jan. 26, at the Front Page Deli, Clarksville.

Dr. Dewey A. Browder, chair of history and philosophy, presented a paper and chaired a session Jan. 14 at the 2005 Hawaii International Conference on Arts and Humanities. His paper, Military Occupation Forces as Agent of Cultural Change, compared America's post-WWII occupation of Germany with present-day American goals in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Dr. Steven Hamilton, professor of biology, has been named a member-at-large of the Tennessee Academy of Science.

Dr. Dixie Webb, chair of the department of art, has a quilt published in Quilter's Newsletter Magazine's special “Quilt It for Keepsake” edition. Webb says she made her quilt, a reproduction of an 1863 crib quilt, to commemorate the birth of her first son, Thomas Webb Scaife. The quilt was made as part of a national quilt study project and originally displayed at the 2002 American Quilt Study Group Annual Meeting in Illinois.
