Dr. Samuel Jator, associate professor of mathematics, has coauthored an article titled Uniqueness of Positive Radial Solutions for Δu + f(u) = 0 on the Annulus with Dr. Zachariah Sinkala of MTSU. The article, which involves solutions of differential equations, appeared in volume 12 of the International Journal of Pure and Applied Mathematics.

Softball Coach Tara McCoy and former Lady Gov Heather Vaughn-Stanfill worked at the Youth Education Through Sports (YES) Clinics May 29 and 31 during the NCAA Softball College World Series in Oklahoma City, Okla. The YES clinics serve as the NCAA's premier outreach to youth across the country at the grassroots level.

Mickey Park, GIS specialist for geographical information systems, was awarded URISA's newly created national GIS professional certification. He is one of the first 1,000 candidates to receive this very prestigious award based on evaluation and professional review of GIS experience and system design.

Gregg Schlanger, professor of art, was featured in a five-minute interview on his water-oriented work Tuesday, May 25, on WPLN. The interview also offered comments from Dr. Steven Hamilton, professor of biology, who advises Schlanger on water quality issues and verifies the identities of fish and animal species in Schlanger's work, and APSU student Brad Reagan.
