Plaudits

Dr. Nobert Puszkar, assistant professor of German, presented a paper at the 20th Century Literature Conference at the University of Louisville. The title of the paper was After Auschwitz one cannot write anymore poems like Rilke. Rilkes ‘Panther and Celans ‘Sprachgitter.

Austin Peay State Universitys student newspaper, The All State, was named 10th best college newspaper at the 2006 Southeast Journalism Conference, Feb. 16-18 at Emory University in Atlanta.

Austin Peay State University's student newspaper, The All State, was named 10th best college newspaper at the 2006 Southeast Journalism Conference, Feb. 16-18 at Emory University in Atlanta.

The award is part of the Best of South Competition held by the SJC each year. The newspaper received the same award in 2004.

All State staff members also won individual awards:
Natalie Gilmore, editor in chief, 10th best newspaper page layout designer.

Amanda White, managing editor, 10th best sports writer.

Kristin Crandall, former art director who graduated December 2005, third place for best news graphic designer.
