Omicron Delta Kappa inducts Tommy Head, eight student leaders

APSUs circle of Omicron Delta Kappa (ODK) recently inducted eight student leaders and one alumnus: former State Rep. Tommy Head.

Head and students Jessica Best, Tamira Cole, Nicole Ela, Kimberly Ragin, Laura Shaffer, Melissa Smith, Thomas Talley and Benjamin Zamostny were inducted at 6 p.m., Monday, April 25, in APSUs Gentry Auditorium.

Junior and senior students are selected for academic achievement and extensive involvement in campus and community activities.

Faculty, staff, administrator and alumni member selections are based on exemplary character, superior scholarship and intelligence, responsible leadership, good citizenship and dedication to democratic ideals.

ODK is a national leadership honor society, with circles on 269 college and university campuses. The APSU circle of ODK was established as a local organization in 1977, becoming part of the national organization in 1979.
