Music department to host mezzo-soprano, Holman

The Austin Peay State University Department of Music and the Center of Excellence for Creative Arts will sponsor a concert featuring a guest soloist.

Dr. Sarah Holman, mezzo-soprano, will perform at 7:30 tonight in the Music/Mass Communication Building Concert Hall. The concert is free and open to the public.

Dr. Sarah Holman, mezzo-soprano, will perform at 7:30 tonight in the Music/Mass Communication Building Concert Hall. The concert is free and open to the public.

Holman has appeared with City Opera of the Quad Cities, Chicago Chamber Opera and several others. She made her Carnegie Hall debut in Mozart's Coronation Mass under the direction of Simon Carrington. Her recent opera performances include The Consul, The Merry Wives of Windsor and the title role of Regina.

Holman is a graduate of the University of Kansas. She has served on the voice faculties of Baker University and William Jewell College before joining Wheaton College Conservatory in 1991.
