Midnight Magic slated for Friday; APSU's annual Basketball Fundraiser Saturday night at Bud Barn

The unofficial start of the 2004-05 basketball season will take place this Friday at midnight as Austin Peay holds it annual Midnight Magic in Dave Aaron Arena.

Fridays tip-off begins with the 10 p.m. annual Wendys Chili Supper in the Governors Club Area for all Govs Club and prospective Govs Club members. A 11 p.m., guests will enjoy a three-point shooting contest between the Govs and Lady Govs, plus a dribble relay competition between the two.

After the midnight introductions, the Lady Govs will stage a short scrimmage followed by the men.

Midnight Magic is free and open to the public.

Then on Saturday night, Oct. 16, the Governors Club will hold its annual basketball fundraiser at the Bud Barn, located off Maxey Road. The evening will begin with the social hour at 6 p.m., followed by the dinner and auction at 7 p.m. The night's activities will conclude with musical entertainment from Adames Productions.

Tickets for the fundraiser are $40 for single tickets and $75 for couples.
