People magazine will be on campus March 3 to cover the Father-Daughter Purity Ball in the Morgan University Center Ballroom.

According to a story in the Feb. 20, 2007, issue of The Leaf-Chronicle, the idea behind the black-tie gala is for a dad to take a central role in his daughter's life, particularly as the girls face issues of teen sex and pregnancy. The magazine plans to interview five to six girls who are in relationships and then follow them for several months to see how they discuss such situations with their fathers.
